Perimeter Clubs

     Chapter eighteen provides an in-depth look at those "golf clubs" that relate directly to the game of golf but were not built for ordinary use on a golf course. Such "clubs" were used for swing training, club fitting, walking, gardening, croquet-golf, travel, and practice.

  • On August 4, 1925, John Wilson received a U.S. patent that covered this distinct duplex club. This club was used to play "Crolf" -- a hybrid of croquet and golf.
